Whether your pet gets nervous at the groomers or anxious when travelling these powerful yet natural ingredients may help. Read our guide to know what to look for on the labels of natural calming products. Don't forget our highly trained team are here to email either in store, over the phone or via email.

Scullcap contains a number of valuable compounds including those which bind to the GABA receptor and reduce anxiety. It is a strong calmer which does not induce drowsiness in your pet so is great for competition dogs.
Many of our popular calming products contain Scullcap including Dorwest Scullcap and Valerian which is suitable for cats and dogs. This comes in a pack of 100 tablets or a pack of 500 tablets. A small dog will take one tablet a day, which will cost just over 12p per day.
Chamomile is a herbal calming supplement that can be used for humans, dogs and sometimes cats. Chamomile can help ease anxiety and is thought to have anti-inflammatory properties. We recommend using a product that contains chamomile or speaking to a homeopath as the wrong amounts can do more harm than good.
These Ziggys products use chamomile as an active ingredient to help soothe your pet:
Yora Dreamers which use chamomile, lemon balm and Valerian root to relax your dog. These treats are based on insect protein so as well as being much better for the environment they are also amazing for dogs with chicken or beef allergies.
True Hemp Calming Treats and Dental Sticks which use green tea (which is calming for dogs), lemon balm and chamomile to naturally calm your dogs
True Hemp calming treats for cats which are based on green tea, chamomile and lemon balm
Or in a liquid calming supplements such as Tranquillity Gold which is based on Valerian and Chamomile and is often recommended by our holistic vet.

Valerian is one of the most popular calming ingredients and (in the right quantities) can be used for all companion animals. It is excellent for calming fearful pets (i.e. pets scared by fireworks), aiding sleep and relaxing muscles.
