Look for a Book! Ziggy's Sponsors Exciting Community Treasure Hunt in Forest Row
Get ready for an adventure, Forest Row families! Ziggy's Pet Supplies is absolutely thrilled to announce our support for a wonderful community initiative organised by Jo from The Bumblebee Bookshop: a fantastic Book Treasure Hunt happening right here in our village over the May Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 24th - Sunday 26th May 2025)!
What is the Forest Row Book Treasure Hunt?
This brilliant event is all about encouraging children to get outdoors, enjoy some fresh air away from screens, get a little exercise, and discover the joy of reading! Jo will be hiding numerous children's books in various spots in and around Forest Row.
Here's how it works for families:
- Explore: Head out over the bank holiday weekend (May 24th-26th) and keep your eyes peeled around the village – think parks, public paths, and community spots!
- Find: Discover a hidden book!
- Read: Take the book home to enjoy.
- Re-Hide (Optional): Once finished, you can choose to re-hide the book somewhere new in Forest Row for another child to find, keeping the fun going!
It's a simple, fun, and free activity for families to enjoy together.

How Your Family Can Participate
It's easy! Just be out and about in Forest Row between Friday 24th May and Sunday 26th May 2025. Let your children lead the way and see what treasures you can find. Remember the rule: Finders keepers (to read!), and re-hiding is encouraged to share the joy!
Support This Wonderful Initiative
This event is run purely for the love of reading and community spirit by Jo, who is supplying books at cost and volunteering her time. If other local Forest Row businesses would like to get involved by sponsoring books (£5 buys approx. 5 books, £10 for 10, £40 for 50, or any other amount!), it's a lovely way to advertise while supporting a fantastic local cause. Your business gets a bookplate in each sponsored book and a mention on The Bumblebee Bookshop's Facebook page.
