Galen Canine Myotherapy is a complimentary treatment for dogs which uses several targeted massage techniques, soft tissue manipulation, reflexology and LED Red Light Therapy. Galen Canine Myotherapy can help many, many conditions including:
- Repetitive Strain Injuries
- Sub-luxating patella
- Muscle tension
- Pre and post surgery
- Puppy developement
- Ageing dogs
- Hip and elbow dysplasia
- Cruciate issues
Monika's Top Tips to look out for:
- Look out for any changes in mood and behaviour. Is your dog grumpy?Moody? Quieter than usual? Maybe snappy? It can be a sign of pain and discomfort. Don't ignore the signs!
- Ageing affects dogs similar way to humans. They slow down a bit, they suffer from arthritis, achy joints and muscles, they find it hard to get up and do the things they used to love. Prevention and maintenance is key! Myotherapy is a great way to keep our senior pups active and comfortable.
- Working and sporting dogs need the same maintenance and looking after as human athletes do. Regular myotherapy can keep them fit, healthy and ready for action.
Did you know that many pet insurance policies will cover complimentary therapies? You just need confirmation before your appointment.
Monika is a member of Galen Myotherapy Centre and also a member of the International Association of Animal Therapists.
